Description

Painting series – on the way, at dusk.

The paintings in this series remind me of a train journey, when at dusk you remember that you wanted to look out the window, or maybe take some photos. Now it’s a bit too late, too dark, so you just look as far as you can.

Or maybe it’s a lake? You approach it in the evening, the water bright with moonlight, and there’s a frame of trees around the view? Everything smells with water, leaves, ground. What do you think? The most important thing is what this painting reminds you of, where it transports you.

I guess that’s why I don’t give them titles—I don’t want to “lock you” solely in my associations.

THIS PAINTING:

This is one of the first paintings I dared to paint on canvas. I painted it in autumn 2024 and then in the beginning of 2025.

This is acrylic painting on canvas, measuring 40×40 cm.
