Description
Bumblebees and bees are probably my favourite insects to observe on the balcony. Butterflies would probably be my favourite too, but so far, in spring, they don’t come here yet. I most often see bumblebees on wild strawberries and pansies flowers. As they move around, they seem to be here by accident. But they do come back, so there is a pattern to it.
‘Bumblebee’ is part of the ‘Life, from the balcony’ collection, which you can also read about on the blog.
This is an original, A4 size hand-made collage on beautiful off-white Crush Corn paper with a weight of 250. I painted the paper used for cutting with oil ink, which I also use for linocuts. I made 3 copies. Each of them is in a sense unique – the copies are slightly different from each other because they are hand-painted, cut and glued.
